Palm Springs, California -
All AHRC members, visitors and members of the general public, press,
California state legislators and HOA industry advocates are invited to
attend a public open house:
Date: Saturday, May 22, 2004
Homeowners Association: The Fairways HOA,
Address: 1600 Crossley Road
City: Palm Springs State: California.
This is a CAI managed, CAI "lawyered", CAI-friendly "insured" and CAI-member
Association.
Follow the signs to the water-intrusion damaged (result of "common area"
roof leaks) 3 bedroom / 2 bath unit which was forcibly vacated
(constructive eviction) by two (2) retired senior citizens (ages 72 &79
respectively) both of whom have suffered serious medical complications
believed to be the result of exposure to toxic/allergenic fungus and
mold and intentional infliction of emotional distress as the result of
negligent maintenance and repair of common area roofs; and the
mistreatment (elder abuse) of two (2) innocent senior citizens.
The owners/occupants were forced into litigation against their own
homeowners association - which is ongoing (Riverside County Court Case #
INC 029330) and were forced to vacate their own home as a result of
medical complications - and a bogus TRO (temporary restraining order)
threatened against innocent parties, including a 79 year senior citizen
who suffered a stroke in December 2003 and was hospitalized at the time
of threat of TRO.
This situation is a "text book" example of the glaring need for reform
in California's HOA/CID arena- and is available to anyone wishing to
educate themselves on the "real problems" within California's gated
communities.
